Product benefits

Kaiflex EF insulation material made of closed-cell rubber is ideally suited for technical insulation of cold and hot water pipes. Thanks to the uniform building material class B/BL-s3, d0 and thermal conductivity of ≤0.036 (W/m·K) at 0 °C across all insulation thicknesses, Kaiflex EF can be used flexibly in small and large projects alike. The insulation material provides sustainable protection against energy losses and also minimises the risk of corrosion beneath the insulation due to a water vapour diffusion resistance of up to μ ≥8,000. Kaiflex EF effectively acts as a vapour barrier. This insulation material is an ideal and economical choice for builders who value energy efficiency and sound insulation, while not wanting to compromise on quality.

Wide range of applications

The product range is tailored to core applications and consists of sheets and tubes – sheets are also available in self-adhesive versions – and matching accessories such as Kaiflex EF Tape. This means that the elastomeric insulation material can be worked quickly and easily even in difficult installation situations. Versatile in use, it can be applied to various system sizes for insulating pipework and air ducts in highly frequented public and commercial buildings such as airports, large office complexes, and hotels, as well as in residential buildings and industrial plants.

Product highlights

Pictogram, Cost Saving

The economical insulation

Kaiflex is the economical insulation solution for builders and building operators with demands for energy efficiency and quality.

Pictogram, Water Diffusion

Reliable prevention of condensation

Dew formation can lead to damage to insulation as well as technical equipment. Due to its closed-cell property, Kaiflex keeps pipes and ducts dry and prevents corrosion under the insulation (CUI).

Pictogram, Antimicrobial

Anti-microbial finish

Mould growth can affect indoor air quality. Kaiflex provides effective protection against moisture penetration, is naturally anti-microbial and resistant to mould growth, leaving bacteria no chance.
