The end sleeve tape features chemical resistance to all greases, acids and oils, and is also resistant to long-term wear. Since aluminum forms a natural oxide protective layer on contact with air and moisture, the end sleeve tapes are corrosion resistant. Moreover, they are physiological, bacteriologically neutral and also environmentally friendly, since no harmful effects occur when aluminum is disposed. The tapes are absolutely gas and water vapour tight and provide a fire protection class 0, due to its non-combustible main material pure aluminum 1050 H19. Our end sleeves are used to cover the ends of an insulated section and prevent internal mechanical stresses. The tapes are fixed with PVC adhesive tape and/or winding wire.
The range of application is from –20 °C to +60 °C (surface temperature – temperature of the media can be much higher due to appropriate insulation). In the packaging unit, the end sleeves are rolls of 10 meters each and 5 rolls per carton. According to your insulation thickness, you can choose between widths of 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 mm.
