Kaiflex special adhesive 505 and 494 HHF with LEED certification
In order to facilitate the use of Kaiflex adhesives in the certification of sustainable buildings, Kaimann GmbH has prepared corresponding product declarations for two of its adhesives for the internationally renowned building certification system LEED v4 (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
LEED v4 is one of the most internationally renowned classification systems for the energy and environmentally friendly design of buildings. The certification system evaluates properties according to various criteria with regard to their energy and environmental friendliness. The categories "material and resources" and "air quality in the building" are relevant for the evaluation of technical insulation materials and their auxiliary materials such as glues or tapes. Glues must not exceed the VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content defined by LEED. The 2 Kaiflex special adhesives meet this requirement.
The Kaiflex special adhesive 505 has been specially developed for solvent-free bonding of elastomeric insulation systems in order to meet the requirements of all building certification systems - LEED, DGNB or BREEAM. The halogen-free and Green Building compliant special adhesive Kaiflex 494 HHF was especially developed for the safe bonding of Kaiflex HFplus s2 with high initial adhesion.
